Communication strategies

Are you struggling to understand people – even while wearing hearing aids?

We have many useful strategies, so let us help you. Let’s Talk is a small group speech reading and communication strategies course that helps people with hearing loss and their families to communicate better.

Speechreading, also known as lip reading, is the practice of understanding speech by visually interpreting the movements of the lips, face, and tongue of a speaker, often in combination with context, body language, and other visual cues. It's commonly used by individuals with hearing impairments to supplement their understanding of spoken language.

Let’s Talk Some More, is for anyone that would like to continue building their speechreading and communications skills after completing Let’s Talk.

Our courses run for 10 weekly sessions and are $125 for IDHHC members; $160 for non-members. Limited seating. Captioning will be provided.

To find the next session in your location, or register, head to our calendar.
